There are a wealth of different options when it comes to holidaying in Cornwall. New Mills benefits from being close to the Devonshire border, and hence draws visitors from both counties. There are numerous places to stay in the region, from bed and breakfasts to holiday camps, and many towns and villages worth traveling to. Tintagel has thousands of years of history, and in recent centuries has become a choice holiday location. The nineteenth century saw the region become extremely popular, especially with literary giants such as Tennyson waxing lyrical about the its heritage. Not far from Tintagel, and equally associated with King Arthur, is Camelford, a hub in this region of the county, and a good location to consider making a base for your holiday. A little further on through the beautiful Allen Valley, you will emerge onto farmland not far from the sea. St. Kew is just off the main road, and in this area there is an excellent Wadebridge bed and breakfast called Brookfields. Comfortable and modern, with welcoming owners. |
